New things going on at Caddo Parish Animal Control!

Caddo Parish Animal Control has made the news a lot lately, and we’re proud to say it’s all good things!

Recently, Travis Clark became the new Director of Animal Services. It’s not been long at all, but the community is already starting to see some big changes happen at CPAS that will positively impact the animals that end up there!

For starters, the public will soon see a more up to date website (caddopets.com) and Facebook page (Caddo Parish Animal Shelter) that lets them browse through the current cats and dogs up for adoption at the shelter.

Another pawesome initiative, $25 adoption fees! And that $25 includes all vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, and microchipping as well. Even more heartwarming is the new policy for dogs and cats that have been at the shelter over 30 days…. NO ADOPTION FEE! Those sweet babies are free to a loving and fur-ever home.

If you’ve not gotten a chance to visit the shelter recently, swing by! Caddo Parish Animal Shelter is at 1500 Monty St. in Shreveport, and they’re always looking for visitors/volunteers to play with the animals.

Give the new director a chance to make CPAS something the community can be proud of, and ALWAYS remember– Adopt don’t shop, and save a shelter pet’s life!
