Shreveport Farmers’ Market Extends 2020 Season!

Red River Revel, Inc. is proud to announce that The Original Shreveport Farmers’ Market is extending the dates for the 2020 season due to high demand and social desire for this essential service. In addition to the regular summer season, which runs May 30th through August 29th, new dates have been added: September 12th, 19th, 26th, and October 3rd and 10th. Hours will remain the same from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The Shreveport Famers’ Market has operated for 34 consecutive years. Facilitated by the Red River Revel, the market serves local farmers, our community, and the entire Northwest Louisiana region. 2020 has brought us new guidelines and a new layout that have worked well for our vendors and guests. The enhanced layout maximizes efficiency and accessibility and complies with current spacing, capacity, and social distancing guidelines. The Market has five places to ‘take a squirt’ of hand sanitizer! Vendors are practicing safe selling methods and being as contactless as possible. We are taking every precaution to maintain our high standards of safety and cleanliness!

There is no need to be intimidated by driving/parking downtown or the construction that surrounds the Market currently. The Downtown Development Authority’s color-coded map of parking areas and directions is posted on our website and social media. Free parking is available and ample around Festival Plaza! There is an ATM onsite, and some vendors accept credit/debit cards. The market accepts SNAP transactions to spend with participating vendors.

Red River Revel, Inc. is grateful to its sponsors: Slow Food North Louisiana, FireTech Systems, Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, Chase Bank, Pepsi, The Alta and John Franks Foundation, and Brookshire Grocery Company.
