The Annual Sunflower Trail and Festival happens 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, June 16 in Gilliam. It features art and entertainment for the entire family. You’ll find handmade items for sale, heritage crafters and artists, hands-on arts and crafts activities for children, art exhibits, a sunflower photography contest and of course acres & acres & miles & miles of SUNFLOWERS! Food and refreshment vendors will be available at the festival, and lunch will be served at nearby businesses including Main Street Restaurant and Adger’s Store in Gilliam, as well as The Wild Petunia and D&I General Store in Belcher. And there’s Live music in the festival area. Admission is free and open to the public.
Festival activities will take place behind the Crossroads Museum in Gilliam, just off of Hwy 3049. Highway 3049 can be reached from Shreveport by heading north on Grimmett Drive then turning right onto Hwy 3049. The physical address of the Crossroads Museum is 12797 Main Street in Gilliam.
