Once those words fly out of your mouth, you can’t take them back. They’re out there slicing folks to ribbons, or building up somebody’s ego.
And how you say something to one person may get lost in translation when they share it to the next individual! Oy vey. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had that happen!
Thumper’s mama may have been on to something when she said, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothin’ at all!”
Hold on to your words and make sure they’re the right ones before you spit them out.
